Ivo

Ivo comes from a Germanic root, from the element iv, the old word for the yew tree. That plant sits behind the name the way a seed sits behind a hedge, present without being obvious to everyone who reads the four letters. Yew wood once went into longbows and into the dark churchyards of northern Europe, and the name held a thread back to it.
