Virsaviia begins in Hebrew, as Bat-Sheva, which reads as "daughter of the oath." Ukrainian took the name through Church Slavonic scripture, where Bathsheba appears as Вірсавія. The spelling looks nothing like the English Bathsheba, yet the two name the same woman.
The oath is old. In the Hebrew Bible, Bathsheba becomes the mother of Solomon and a queen who secures her son's throne. The Gospel of Matthew names her again in the genealogy of Jesus, listed as the wife of Uriah. The Slavonic form kept that biblical figure and changed only the sound.
